Differences from the book have contribute to Queen Helaena being one of the most alluring characters heading into the Dance of the Dragons , with her tidings often put up dual meanings to break down and dissect .
One ofHouse of the Dragonseason 2 ’s bragging book changesso far has been the TV adaptation ’s version of Blood & Cheese . The show is base on George R.R. Martin ’s Holy Writ , Fire & Blood , in which Alicent Hightower is present and forced to follow during the character assassination , while the HBO series sees that she was with Criston Cole during small Prince Jaehaerys ' murder . Afterward , Helaena walks in on Alicent and Cole having sex , which make underlying tension between the female parent and daughterpair during the time of year . Helaena then states that she " forgives " Alicent , raise dubiousness . Theobvious result could be that she forgive Alicent for not being present during Blood & Cheese , but there ’s broadly speaking more to Helaena ’s talking to .
Helaena could be forgive Alicent in a broader sense for her role in planting Aegon on the throne and starting the war . However , Helaena has prophetic visions , and that has to be read into account . Much of Alicent ’s electric discharge in season 2 seems to be about her coming to grips with what she ’s done . specially after her conversation with Rhaenyra , Alicent ’s world is shattered as she ’s bad for make up Aegon king . A possibility is that Alicent will somehow betray the Greens , and Helaena is offer pardon in advancement as she ’s seen a visionand believes Alicent ’s action mechanism to be right .

Alicent ’s kinship with her children has always been shaky at best , especially with Aegon and Aemond , whom she does n’t really seem to like . However , Alicent does care for Helaena , although Helaena would n’t even let her female parent bear on her in scenes in time of year 1 . InHouse of the Dragonseason 2 , it seems like they ’re finally starting to link up in a more meaningful agency . Alicent does n’t really bed how to comfort Helaena , but she ’s at least try , which is more than could be said for her other children .
