Because Moll is the married woman of L’ak ( Elias Toufexis ) , she asserts her control condition in his name as the Scion of the Breen , do Moll the independent villain ofStar Trek : Discoveryseason 5 all along .

However , Moll is n’t really aStar Trekvillainas others in the enfranchisement have been . Star Trekhas its share of infernal heavies like Khan Noonien - Singh ( Ricardo Montalban ) , Shinzon ( Tom Hardy ) , and Nero ( Eric Bana ) . But Moll is n’t out for vengeance , destruction , or even power . Moll simply wants to bring L’ak back to life . It ’s not decipherable if Moll has considered what happen if she succeeds and resurrects L’ak . Most likely , Moll hopes that she and L’ak can still leave the Breen and have the freedom to last their lives together , which is all they ultimately want .

However , greater issues surround Moll ’s attempt to bring L’ak back with the Progenitors ' hoarded wealth . Moll giving the Breen restraint of the ancient technology would be catastrophic to the United Federation of Planets and the galaxy at prominent . This mean thatCaptain Burnham has to stop Moll from getting what she desire , even if it means L’ak has to remain dead to safeguard the Federation ’s future from the Breen . Moll is n’t aStar Trekvillain in a traditional sense , but Moll attain her goal and bringing back L’ak would still venture gazillion of life inStar Trek : Discovery .
