House Of The Dragon Season 2’s Blood & Cheese Scene Is Brutal

(Despite It Being Toned Down For The Show)

House of the Dragonseason 2 ’s Blood and Cheesescene has receive divided reactions for making many change to the infamous moment . In the book , Blood and Cheese is a lot more brutal . For instance , Daemon employ the assassins to at once kill one of Aegon ’s children , rather than Aemond . Then , Helaena is forced to choose between Jaehaerysand Maelor , her two sons , the latter of whom does n’t exist in the show . moreover , Alicent is in the room and is bounce , muzzle , and forced to watch .

House of the Dragon season 2 , episode 1 has a very significant conniption from George R.R. Martin ’s Fire & Blood , but the show ’s edition is disappointing .

Despite it being toned down for the show , stemma and Cheese still stand asHouse of the Dragon ’s most shockingly brute second yet . It ’s graspable that the show opted not to show a child being beheaded onscreen , alternatively bank on the horrible sound of the indescribable act , and the result is chillingly effective . Saban ’s execution as a mother in blow , simply state , " They kill the boy , " is a elementary and efficacious way of limn the character ’s devastation .

As Saban says , the show simplifies its bloodline and Cheese scene . Just because there are few characters involved and fewer threats of fury made , does n’t mean that the show has bankrupt the scenery , as some have argued .
