I have it off seeing Alcock come back inHouse of the Dragon . That ’s not stand for as any kind of disrespect to Emma D’Arcy , who is absolutely phenomenal in the office , has made it their own , and perfectly body forth Rhaenyra . But it ’s more becauseAlcock was so crucial in develop the character and making me worry about her to begin with , and while the recastings did work , they were also a small abrupt , and it felt like there was a lack of closure for Alcock ’s adaptation of the character .
Her return is very well - deserve , and better bridge the two versions of Rhaenyra . The ground for that is Daemon - he comes to Harrenhal after an volatile fight with D’Arcy ’s character , and then has to experience a imagination of Alcock ’s . Andit ’s only through seeing the young Rhaenyra that he can serve his emotions- how he ’s been hurt , how he made mistakes and in reality regrets them - which stand for that ’s the only room he can fix his matrimony with the present day Rhaenyra .

Everything with Daemon stem from his relationship with his crony - his perceived slight , the fact he did n’t become King , the want of affection and tending he so long wanted for , and the loss of the person who , despite all of that , was still one of the few people he was remotely unaired to . Viserys - through actions he really send and legal injury imagine - has led to a passel of rancor and anger within Daemon , but also heartbreak and a gumption of loss he has n’t really march .
Seeing Considine back would absolutely be welcome . For me , his was the best performance inHouse of the Dragonseason 1 , so absolutely capture the calamity of the character , the weight upon him , his complexities , darker sides , and humor as well . throw the story and thematic intellect for his return , I ’d love to see him add up back in a cameo now .
