In the aftermath of a vicious attack by the Swarm , fortuitously Kait and the ring have some firepower to wrench to . Kait and Delta Squad need to set down beacons to enable accurate targeting of the vicious horde forces .
All seems to be going well - at least as well as the events of aGears of Wargame can truly be - until there ’s a shameful turn - up for the books . It turns out that the Swarm has a new queen , and that nance is Kait ’s mother , Reyna . Reyna was last picture in a Swarm hive inGears of War 4 , and killed by Kait to arrest her from being assimilated . However , this clearly did n’t stop the shift , with instead Reyna now acting as a vas for the beehive .
With the Swarm ’s big businessman unleashed , Reyna is able to easily take mastery of the position , grabbing JD and Del and leaving Kait straggle on the floor . Kait then has the chance to only hold open one of the two , with the other have their neck broken by the queen as the two remaining subsister escape from the picture .
A Dramatic Escape
Kait and the other outlive party drop off their weapons and incur themselves briefly pose underground in the ruin of a building in Old Ephyra , before breaking out and once again jumping into action . Before too long they work into Fahz and Marcus Fenix , and break out the spoiled news show of whichever character got the chopper in the previous scene . From there , it ’s metre to get out of contrivance with the Hammer of Dawn beacon destroy .
Doing so is easier say than done . For appetizer , the gang is pursue bySwarm Flocks , with the hirudinean out and athirst for lineage . Before too long , they get back to the burden COG violence , quick to sample and regroup with the help of the likes of Cole , and keep a last ditch Department of Defense as the Swarm bears down on their position , throwing every soldier under the sunshine at the COG troops who fight back with well - climb on gun turret .
As is often the case inGears of War , things do get bad once again . The Swarm ’s Kraken , which was first encounter inGears 5 in the violent Amandine Aurore Lucie Dupin of Vasgar as it try out to stop the missile launch that got the Hammer of Dawn back online , turns up once more to spoil any tentative programme . From here , the net battle ofGears 5begins .
The Final Fight

All in all , it ’s a pretty strong last to what is anextremely impressive campaign . Although some fans may have been hoping for a piffling more closure and a less obvious golf tee up of the next biz , nonethelessGears 5manages to give fan a passel of solvent about theGears of Warstory overall . Hopefully , Gears 6will provide fans with a suitably powerful next chapter .
