However , his role is importantly reduced when Rhysand whisk off Feyre by from the Spring Court in the second book - so subjugate that he was pass on to a pointless side quest of navigate aside to witness a rumored human queen . He returned , but that arc was for the most part pointless , and seemed only to be included because Maas did n’t know what else to do with Lucien , so she wrote him out of the books for a while .

With a war brewing , Lucien must factor more importantly into effect , not just for his own saki , but for the interest of the story as a whole .
7Elain Archeron
The Youngest Archeron Sister & Prophetic Seer
Of the three Archeron baby , Elain has had the least character development , by far . Even before the last book , A Court of Silver Flames , made her baby the central distaff protagonist , Nesta had a fair bit of evolution . Feyre , of trend , has been the overall protagonist of the first four books . Elain , however , is largely a procurator character , a two - dimensional figure whose internal thought and personal wants are still unsung to the reader . Considering how well - develop Feyre and Nesta are , it ’s been odd that the third sister has remained such a nihility . The guess among the fandom is that the next book will focus on Elain , and it should . Even if she ’s not the principal champion like her sister were , she deserves to be much more fleshed out .

Lucien ’s older brother is an enigmatical character reference , and while he ’s loathed by the other lineament thanks to his seeming inhuman treatment , previous books have suggest that there ’s more to him than there seems to be . InA Court of Wings and Ruin , he revealed that he had alarm Tamlin to Lucien being cast out of the Autumn Court to protect his younger pal .
